This week Neenah Paper released the  Neenah Cabinet™ for iPad in Apple’s App Store. It's a free download and has been optimized specifically for the iPad. This app is an off-shoot of  the Neenah Cabinet™ for Desktop - a robust, technology-driven solution to view papers. When you're on the go and away from you desktop, you'll want the iPad version with you. After our initial test drive, we are very impressed that the screen of the iPad allows you to see so much detail in paper texture and color.

“The Neenah Cabinet for iPad app is the ultimate virtual swatchbook for our customers, allowing them to directly interact with our brands anywhere they might be on the mobile platform they prefer the most. They can see first-hand all of the color palettes, paper weights, sheet sizes and envelope sizes available. Also, they can find their local paper merchant/distributor to request samples. Another Sappi success! Last night, the Olmsted-Kirk Dallas crew attended the Sappi launch party held at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. This event was part of a ten city tour in celebration of the release of “The Standard 5: Special Effects”.  In lieu of a paid ticket, each attendee was asked to give a $10 direct donation to the 826 National Organization. The 826 Organization is a network of eight non-profit writing and tutoring groups across the U.S. dedicated to assisting students, age 6-18, to strengthen their creative writing skills. Cocktails, h’ors doeuvres and a plethora of Sappi goodies were given along with a truly memorable presentation. As a bonus, each attendee received an advanced copy of The Standard 5: Special Effects. Volume 5 of The Standard shows designers how the creative use of special effects can make a printed piece dimensional, tactile, intriguing and sometimes interactive. We are excited to tell you about additions to the Neenah Paper family of products. Neenah announced this week that they have signed an agreement to purchase selected premium writing, text and cover brands from Wausau Paper. The purchase includes Astrobrights, the well known Royal® line and some Exact® products. The transaction should be closed on January 31, 2012. With Neenah's history of consolidating product and branding, this will be a seamless and successful transition. Olmsted-Kirk has a long history with both Neenah and Wausau. We will continue to support all of your orders on Wausua products. It's business as usual. The service and support you are used to with Wausau will continue and only grow stronger with Neenah.
